ALS - Autograph Letter Signed, two pages August 1971, as Archbishop of Cagliari. Charming letter to a colleague accepting an invitation to visit and dine. Mentions his brother who urged him to get away on holiday.  Nice example.
 
Of particular interest is the fact that Baggio was a graduate of the School of Paleography, Diplomatics and Library Science of the Vatican.  Why he ended up in diplomatic service rather than as prefect of the Library or Archives is anyone's guess.
