DS - Document Signed: Papal bull on parchment dated December 2006. Appointment of Stanislaw Adalbert Wiegus to archbishop of Krakow. Signed by Benedict and co-signed by Marcellus Rossetti, Protonotary Apostolic. Cords and leaden bulla detached and contained in small imprinted envelope. 
The abdication of office by Wiegus was a great embarrassment to Benedict as well as the Holy See. Failing to properly vett his episcopal appointment it surfaced that, earlier in his episcopacy, Wiegus had cooperated with the state secret police in clergy appointments.
