TLS - Typewritten Letter Signed, one page, August 1982, on his heraldic-crested stationery. Excellent content. In part reads:  The Fire Department of the City of New York is famous for its bravery and courage, and it is also known for its generosity and love. The work which you do for the widows and children of 'the bravest,' is another example of that selfless giving which is the mark of the Fire Department. The supreme example, of course, is foound in those members of the Fire Department who have laid down their lives so that others may live.
