Italian cardidnal; papal nuncio to Switzerland and, later, Bologna.  Created a cardinal in 1657. Acting Prefect of the Tribunal of Apostolic Signature in the absence of Cardinal Chigi. Secretary of the Congregation of Bishops and Regulars. Prefect of the Apostolic Palace and Governor of Castlegondolfo.  Governor of Rome and Vice-Camerlengo of the Church.
 
LS - LETTER SIGNED, 8 May 1666 one page with integral address panel.  Addressed to the Prior of Collevecchio (Province of Riete). Appears to be a confirmation of his appointment. Body text secretarial and boldly signed by Farnese. Generalized foxing and toning but, given its age, very  good.  Accompanied by a print of a steel engraving.
