DS - Document Signed; two sides of folded sheet; dated 1850. Grants the request of an elderly countess in Pesaro to establish a private chapel in her residence for Holy Mass and Communion due to illness. This was a somewhat common practice in 17-20th century Italy which required papal approval as Mass was, ideally, to be offered in public for the faithful. Counter-signed by +Giovanni Carlo Gentili with his small intact red wax seal.
