TLS - Typewritten Letter Signed, one page, Florence 29 August 1960. Addressed to Monsignor Corrado Balducci of the Vatican Secretariat of State. Friendly letter in which he thanks Balducci for showing him around Rome during the Olympics and for sending photographs of the visit to the cardinal.  Accompanied by a typewritten copy of Balducci's original letter to Florit.
 
When the (Venerable) Cardinal Elia Dalla Costa submitted his resignation to Pius XII in 1954, the Pope compromised by proposing the appointment of Florit to assist him as coadjutor.
