TLS - Typewritten Letter Signed, one page folio, on imprinted stationary of the Secretary of State dated 2 August 1915. Lengthy letter to Cardinal Gaetano Bisleti in Italian and Latin. Recounts a plenary session of July 17, 1915, of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signature which heard a complex matrimonal issue. Gasparri states that the pope has granted a derogation decision. Further states that a commission of cardinals reviewed the matter (De Lai, Van Rossum and Bisleti). Usual folds and light toning, otherwise very good to fine.
